FAQ: Split Systems Mist or steam is coming out of the indoor unit.

Answer
While an air conditioner operates in Cooling or Dry mode, a thin mist may come out of the indoor unit. This is because the sudden drop in room temperature caused by the cool air coming out of the unit forms condensation and mist.
During heating operation, the outdoor unit's fan may stop running, and steam may be seen rising from the unit. The steam is caused by Automatic defrosting.
